About

Have you ever in your life experienced a love that was so perfect, so heavenly, that it was too good for this world? I did with my baby angel named Toulouse. I experienced such a profound love from my pet I cannot sum in words. One day he had suddenly passed away at only four years old with zero warning. A part of me died that day, but a new part was born. I told myself something beautiful must come from his death, and kept praying and believing for purpose to be sufussed from such deep pain. A few weeks later I discovered the beauty of painting. I ran into my most aspiring artist at the beach and sat there for days while grieving watching him make a beach scene come to life in front of me. Something sparked within me and it brought so much hope and joy into my life again.

I paint the beach because it is always where I feel God the most. It is a place of continual newness that refreshes my soul. Each wave exhales the breathe of God and every sunset declares glory and wonder. Every time I paint, I can't help but meditate on the verse "The works of the Lord are great, studied by all who delight in them".

-Psalm 111:2
